Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese practice for energy flow and blood circulation. Gua means to stroke or press, and Sha refers to redness. Facial Gus Sha uses a smooth crystal tool (commonly Rose Quartz and Jade) to slowly stroke the face and neck, which is said to improve circulation and release tension.

It is believed that over time and with consistent practice, your skin will appear clearer, brighter and tighter. Using Gua Sha can help to reduce puffiness, smooth your complexion, soften fine lines, and it can even help acne heal faster.

 

 

How to use your Gua Sha facial tool:

Before you begin, make sure you apply your favourite facial oil or moisturiser to help your Gua Sha glide over your skin. It is recommended for best results that your Gua Sha is not cold - you can warm it with your hands or under warm water.

Hold your Gua Sha tool with the curved side to your face and glide it gently up and out on your neck, jawline, chin, and around the mouth. Sweep across your cheeks and gently glide under your eyes, across your eyebrows and from your forehead up to your hairline. Do this between three and five times per area for best results.
